Music by the Mississippi: Shakey Graves, Soul Asylum, & Charlie Parr – 2 Day Pass at Treasure Island Amphitheater

MUSIC BY THE MISSISSIPPI

Mississippi music is best known as the birthplace of an eclectic mix of music, following the freedom of the African Americans, in the 19th century. Mississippi town halls and venues now hosts a vast mix of musical genre, Country, Rock R&B, Blues, Delta Blues Jazz and Hip Hop, to name a few. This concert is therefore a two-day celebratory event, featuring some of the best of an eclectic mix of music from a collection of eclectic performers and musicians, from across the country.

MUSIC BY THE MISSISSIPPI - SOUL ASYLUM, SHAKEY GRAVES, CHARLEY PARR, WELCH MINNESOTA, FRIDAY 25TH JULY 

This music festival comprising largely of Blues and Rock music, featuring specialist musicians, like Soul Asylum - an indie rock band and Grammy Award winner is known as an undeniable force in the Minnesota indie rock circles, and has been for some decades. Shakey Graves - a Texan based singer-songwriter and actor, has, once again, returned to the Music by the Mississippi concert. He specializes in the mix of blues, folk music and rock. He has released the best part of ten albums, made some fifteen appearances on various television series. Charley Parr. One of the most critically acclaimed singer-songwriter in Minneapolis, and is a self-proclaimed folk troubadour. He has been described as a true poet, an incredible guitarist, and an extremely talented lyricist. 

TREASURE ISLAND AMPHITHEATER

The Treasure Island Amphitheater, boasts an audience capacity of some sixteen thousand. The amphitheater is an outdoor theater and is largely flat. Recently opened in 2017, this little piece of heaven has already developed a reputation as, the place to go to, for music festivals. Some of the music industry's biggest and sought after names have performed on this stage.
